From the train station

From the Saint-Jean train station, the easiest but not the fastest way to get to the university is to take the tramway (line C) to "Parc des Expositions / Gare de Blanquefort" and stop at "Quinconces". Then change and take (line B) to "Pessac". The nearest stops from the LaBRI are "Peixotto" and "Béthanie". If you are in a hurry, from the Saint-Jean station, take the bus "Liane 10" to "Gradignan Beausoleil/Village 6" and stop at "Peixotto". To reach the bus stop, cross the main street in front of the railway station. Cost 1,8 EUR.

From the airport

Several options are available. The recent extension of the Tram line A is the recommended option. Cost 1,8 EUR.

Tram Line A brings you within 35 mns to Bordeaux downtown and connects to the orther lines. To get to the conference site get off at the "Hotel de Ville" (town hall) and take Tram line B to "Peixotto" or "Bethanie" (see the campus map). Other options are available from the Bordeaux airport.

From the city center

To reach the conference venue from the city center, take the tram (line B in the direction "Pessac"). The nearest stops from the LaBRI are "Peixotto" and "Béthanie".

By taxi

A taxi ride to the LaBRI costs about 10-20 EUR from the railway station and about 30 EUR (dayfare) (45 EUR nightfare) from the Bordeaux airport (depending on the traffic and time of day). Make sure the driver uses the meter.

By car

The campus is easily accessible by car. However, within the historic city center of Bordeaux avoid using a car whenever possible (the tram is the fastest option). From the beltway (rocade), use exit 16 "Talence-Domaine Universitaire". Follow the direction of "Bordeaux centre" down the "Cours de la Libération" to the big green gate which is the University main entrance.

Coordinates

If you have a GPS device, you can add the following google-earth GPS data: LaBRI: (44.8084, -0.596805) or (44°48.504' N, 0°35.808' W) or (44°48'30.24" N, 0°35'48.50" W).
